US Department of State, the Royal Thai Government, and UNHCR Officials:

HIHRW-North Carolina-The situation of the Hmong Lao/Thai in Huay Nam Khao, Phetchabun may seems to be too difficult to find a solution, but it could be resolved if the RTG implements its laws accordingly. The United States Government has made it clear that they do not have another refugee program to accept any more Hmong refugees who have been living in Thailand for the last 30 years. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has washed their hands while the Royal Thai Government (RTG) has embraced and nurtured many homeless former Hmong refugees under her wings and had issued them Thai citizenship.
